Context
I’m Not Your Doll was conceived as part of a publication on women, and this is one of its chapters. The intention here is to express outrage and protest regarding the portrayal of women in the media, drawing on references and prior research to inform the content presented.

PHASE 1 – VISUAL IDENTITY
A doll is something that is controlled and is, by its very nature, a representation of a beautiful woman. If we take the ‘Barbie’ doll as an example, we see the classic stereotype that a beautiful woman is blonde with blue eyes.
Based on this principle, in the media too, slim and slender women appear more frequently in magazines than those who do not fit the same parameters. (Not to mention the fact that many of these women who appear are often objectified and sexualised). Thus, the name I’m Not Your Doll emerges as a form of rebellion. It is in itself a manifestation and a struggle in defence of certain ideals.
On the other hand, in harmony with and complementing this, there is the symbol: a doll with crossed eyes and a sewn-shut mouth, which is a far cry from the classic doll. More than just her pretty face, the aim is for people to see, hear and value women as they are, starting in this case with the struggle within the media.
